Almost

Your jokes kind of make me laugh
And your hair is fairly close to being cute
Your smile isn’t half bad, either
You know, I almost, almost kind of like you

The Lezzies and The Kid

Posted by louie louie on Monday, July 30, 2012,
It was that weekend, the weekend that I was with them. I was hurrying to go home, it was raining and I have that feeling in my tummy, not the good one, like I'm anxious talaga to go home. I told them that I already miss my family, they thought it was weird that I do. Pero I swear it wasn't the only reason I wanted to go home. It's just that I've been gone too long, I was worried they(the fam) were worrying about me na. They(lezzies and kid) thought that I couldn't get away from them while the...

Wow. Seriously. This is now a favorite, definitely up there.

I need the sort of blue that rips your inside out. You don’t see blue like that round here.

I imagine Shadow arcing his arm and spilling yellow across the grey. Spilling sunshine.

I liked that he had hair that was growing without a plan. A grin that came out of nowhere and left the same way.

OMG. Did not see that one coming!

Kept dreaming of this spot she had on her neck, this tiny country. I wanted to visit, to paint a picture of wha...

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (the review)

Posted by louie louie on Friday, July 27, 2012,
Well for a book titled, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, it's kind of plain.
Maybe I wasn't reading properly? I don't know. But I was disappointed. It's draggy and it has a small plot.
I can't even figure out the characters.

Maybe i just wasn't reading properly.

She lifts her chin to find that he’s looking down at her with the same expression she saw on his face earlier, when she woke up with her head on his shoulder. Neither of them moves and neither speaks; they just stand there watching each other in the darkness, the engines whirring beneath their feet. It occurs to her that—impossibly, improbably—he might be about to kiss her, and she inches just the tiniest bit closer, her heart skidding around in her chest. His hand brushes agains...

Adele's One and Only is playing in my head. It's making my heart swell, thinking about the lyrics.

You've been on my mind
I grow fonder every day,
Lose myself in time
Just thinking of your face
God only knows
Why it's taken me so long
To let my doubts go
You're the only one that I want

I don't know why I'm scared, I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your on...

In the end, it’s not the changes that will break your heart; it’s that tug of familiarity.

“I didn’t even ask where you’re going.”

“London,” she says, and he laughs.

OMG, alam ko na what he's studying! Kaya he won't tell Hadley! It's The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight! Oh well, duh.

“Not everyone makes it fifty-two years, and if you do, it doesn’t matter that you once stood in front of all those people and said that you would. The important part is that you ...

I am forever interested in the history of everything. Does that make me a nerd? No naman diba? lol.
This is from wikipedia nga pala. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Liberty

The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France, is of a rob...

I have this weird thing against everything mainstream, is it just me being pretentious?
  •   fifty shades - I'm not super against this. I actually love fifty shades, I've read the first 2 books na and I seriously love Christian Grey. Pero I don't think the book is perfect, I've read books that are more striking for me, more life changing. I'll love it more siguro if hindi ganon kadaming tao na yung nagbasa and yung may alam about it. Even people that aren't into reading much knows about it. That'...

Looking For Alaska

But stiiiilllll. Look at this, I hate it, I hate how it makes me feel, I hate that it makes me think about reality and scary things.
But then look at this, John Green is such a good writer that I can't resist.

She taught me everything I knew about crawfish and kissing and pink wine and poetry. She made me different.

I lit a cigarette and spit into the creek. "You can't make me different and then leave," I said out loud to her.

"Because I was fine before, Alaska. I was fine with...

Reading "Looking for Alaska" by John Green.

Me: Wow, what a good writer.(amazed)

Seriously. To think he's a guy.
The book is funny in a subtle way.
Kind of like that book "Flipped" by Wendelin Van Draanen which I really loved.

Pudge, the main character, quoted this dead writer's last words, "To seek the great perhaps".

To seek the great perhaps. How deep. Whenever I think about those words, I get this odd feeling
like I can't breathe or something. I don't know why but I will find out.

God! Pudge is t...
