"You live in Kalentong? You can pee in here!"
You wanna know something weird?
Whenever I hear One and Only by Adele and Just a Feeling by Maroon 5,
I still have this tiny twisty feeling inside me, it's really really weird.
First time I heard/appreciated those songs was when we were in Laguna.
Wiv ze lezzies and The Kid.
Weird noh?
I like associate those songs to him now.
Not that I dedicate those songs to him. Nothing baduy like that.
It's just that those songs take me back to that moment,
It's like having a glimpse of what I felt back then.
Maybe because that was the last time I felt strongly for someone.
I'm not saying I still feel them "kinda strong feelings".
It's nothing. I just think it's weird, now I have to analyze it so it doesn't seem like I still feel something.
I don't.
Feel anything, I mean.
I don't hate him for what he did, for what happened. I just don't.
I feel indifferent. That's it.
This whole thing was because I heard it again in my iTunes.
I'm at Starbucks near my house pretending to work.
Well I AM working.
It's just in the wrong way. I'm organizing my database and itinerary.
I should be at the office or doing field work.
But I'm not.
Instead I'm wearing big, comfy sweater and leggings sipping hot chocolate.
Perfect activity for the rainy weather. I just can't miss it.
I pretended I'm sick.
I told my boss I was.
Sorry boss.
That's because you're not paying me yet and I think my job is a big joke.
To say that I'm not taking my job seriously is an understatement.
It's a big waste of money (mrt & jeep fee, parking fee, gas, make up)
I work as a Marketing Assistant.
My immediate boss, the Marketing Manager, is 2 years younger than me.
She's a fresh grad.
And she asks me questions on how to do her job.
Everything our boss asks her to do, she asks me how to do it.
Plus I have better leads than her.
She got in the company a moth earlier than I did.
Don't even get me started on how much I hate the workplace.
It's in this kinda rundown building in Shaw (but really it's in Kalentong)
It's in the 2nd flr, 1st flr is a photocopying business (xerox lang yata, I don't even think they do colored)
No elevator, no railings in the stairs.
We use plastic monoblock chairs.
Dead wirings all over the place (the type that'll catch fire any moment)
The bathroom, oh gosh the bathroom. The. fucking. bathroom.
The bathroom makes me weep.
I try not to pee whenever I'm in the office.
I mean if I can avoid it, I will.
There was this one time, I felt that I might need to pee in a while,
I told my boss that I have to go home.
Yes, ganon kalala.
Am I being a brat about this bathroom situation?
Yes if I'm a boy.
But I'm a girl so, no.
The bathroom doesn't have flush, no tissue, it smells super bad.
No proper lock.
Plus all the ate and all the kuya (cringe cringe oh god) downstairs in the xerox place pee in there.
Even the guard.
It's a common bathroom.
Common bathroom of the whole Kalentong.
Goodness.
But
The pay is so good
(I mean it will be, once I get paid, after my 10-day probationary period)
They promised me a lot.
Big pay, company credit card, company car and whatever else we want.
I only want transportation allowance/gas allowance and portable landline.
But if you want to give me credit card then ok, thanks so much.
And I kinda have this feeling that I CAN be Marketing Manager if I try
(Even if we already have one. She's not very good)
(I'm not bragging, I just have more experience than her)
(She's too naive for that kind of job)
(Kind of like me when I was younger)
(When I was 17)
(And a virgin)
Can you imagine the places I can go to if I'm Marketing Manager?
I really want that title.
That's my goal.
I have to take it away from "Little Miss Innocent"
(cue in diabolical laugh)
Bye.
